グラミー賞でFUN.というバンドが２冠を達成しました。

受賞したのは、最優秀楽曲賞と最優秀新人賞で、

ノミネート曲は「We Are Young」です。

この曲は、人気ドラマ「Glee」（グリー）でカバー

されていたことでも有名です。

FUN.は２００８年に結成されたアメリカのロックバンド。

同年に解散した「THE FORMAT」（ザ・フォーマット）の

ネイト・ルイスが中心となって結成されました。

「We Are Young」は、２thアルバム「Some Nights」

からのシングルカットです。

しかし正直、なぜここまで人気があるのかな？と思ってしまいましたが、

実は、２０１２年２月に開催されたアメフトのスーパーボールの

テレビ中継にて、自動車のCM曲として使用されたそうです。

これがきっかけで、iTunesストアで１位、ビルボードHOT100で３位

を記録するなど、大躍進が始まったというわけです。

それにしても、グリーとスーパーボール効果で

全米６週連続１位、５週連続３０万ダウンロードとはすごいですね。

グラミー賞には主要４部門とよばれる賞があり、

FUN.が受賞した最優秀楽曲賞と最優秀新人賞がそのうち２つで、

のこりは、最優秀レコード賞と最優秀アルバム賞です。

なんだかわけわからん…(ーー;)
